Session Overview

Organizations want their internal auditors to advise on how to exploit new technologies. To serve in this way, internal auditors need to understand the organization’s needs and have the skills to be both innovative and agile. Yet internal audit departments aren’t demonstrating these transformative qualities. Industry surveys cite C-Suite Executives as aware that the conseqences of not evolving into a data-driven business at this time could negatively impact a proper evaluation of risks and controls, along with not meeting stakeholder expectations*. Could there still be reluctance to adopting data analytics and automating processes?

This presentation will show internal auditors how they can achieve some easy wins and automate complex processes with technology. We will use case studies to show how technology can be incorporated from end-to-end in your internal audit process. Furthermore, we will highlight common challenges in internal audit so that participants will gain the bite-size steps they need to automate their internal audits.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand what a smart digital audit is and the capabilities it offers
  • Learn where to start leveraging technology to perform common internal audit tasks using robotic process automation
  • See how a go-to solution can improve internal audits and alleviate demanding workloads
  • See how technology can be leveraged to simplify communications and reporting
