It seems so obvious that having less racism and bigotry in society would be a good thing. But there is so much dis-information and emotion on this topic that most people don’t know what to say or do—and are afraid of being cancelled. The reality is that it’s not enough for our colleagues, customers, and fellow citizens to be merely tolerated; people in our society have to feel like they belong if they are going to contribute to their fullest capability. Doing diversity in this reasonable way is the right thing to do, it’s good for business, and it creates a better world for all of us to work and live in. This hands-on, participatory workshop explains the basic terms and offers practical, common sense guidance to help you understand today's social consciousness when navigating through an investigation or life itself. Please bring your questions.

What you will learn:
What are racism and bigotry?
Why do we have to talk about it?
Diversity in the workplace (it’s the law)
The big ideas: multiculturalism, woke, social justice…
Practical guides to communication and action

The brief workshop includes leading edge ideas, skill development, and practical tools to help you:
(i) accept diversity without feeling censored and without compromising your values and integrity, and
(ii) helps you become a more effective and valued colleague, professional, and citizen.
