    Annual General Meeting : 6:00 pm - 6:15 pm

    Only Chapter Members in Good Standing may speak and vote at the Annual General Meeting. You will be given a name tag upon entry to the Amsterdam Barrel House that indicates your status as a Chapter Member in Good Standing to help facilitate the processes at the AGM. The AGM will NOT be streamed virtually.

    There are NO elections required for this Annual General Meeting. The current Board of Directors serve until September 30, 2023.

    Mary Breslin is the founder of Verracy Training and Consulting. She has more than 20 years of experience in internal auditing, fraud examination, management and accounting for companies such as ConocoPhillips, Barclays Capital, Costco Wholesale, Jefferson Wells and Boart Longyear. She specializes in internal audit transformations, operational and financial auditing, fraud auditing and investigations, and corporate accounting.

    In addition to audit, fraud and accounting she has significant international experience and has managed audit programs in more than 30 countries. Prior to becoming a full time instructor, Breslin held the title of vice president and Chief Audit Executive in a global financial services company, where she transformed a checklist audit function into a value add audit department that delivered measurable business results through the use of risk-based auditing, data analytics, continuous education, and skill development for her leadership team and staff. Through her senior audit leadership roles, Breslin has implemented numerous baseline internal audit functions and year-one Sarbanes-Oxley programs, both domestically and abroad.

    Karen Wensley is a frequent speaker on professional ethics and personal branding. Karen was a special lecturer in business ethics at the University of Waterloo from 2010 to 2019. She was the author of the monthly ethics column for CPA Magazine from 2014 - 2018. She is also the author of the book "The Power of Personal Branding for Career Success."

    Karen is a member of the board of directors of Trillium Heath Partners, Gore Mutual Insurance and Amref Health Canada. Karen provides consulting services to businesses in the areas of HR strategy, executive coaching and team effectiveness and also works with professionals new to Canada as a volunteer mentor with the Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council.

    Karen retired as a partner of Ernst & Young in 2010, where she spent most of her career as a tax partner and then became the national Human Resources leader.
